This year National Tree Week is celebrated from 24 November to 2 December 2018. It is the UK’s largest annual tree celebration, marking the start of the winter tree planting season. The Tree Council first established National Tree Week in March 1975 in response to the national replanting required after the outbreak of Dutch Elm disease. National Tree Week is a great chance for communities to do something positive for their local treescape.
Because I simply love trees, the above selection of nine pictures, taken the past days in the Rutland and Leicestershire area, is my humble contribution.
